The story starts from a cousin’s marriage discussion WhatsApp group. For the first time, everyone was in the same group — all the special guests and close ones of my cousin, whose wedding it was. This group was created six months before the marriage, where two strangers met and then drifted apart without knowing where it was going to end.
After six months, the wedding finally arrived — the day when they would have their first face-to-face meeting.
Sonia had just heard the news that someone was coming to the wedding. She didn’t know why she felt excited to know “Who is he?” She was assuming it might be someone from the same group created for this marriage, but she wanted to know for sure. She waited with curiosity, feeling something she couldn’t quite explain.
Finally, after one of the marriage functions was over, all the guests who had come for the bhaat function felt humiliated because of some bad behaviour from the host family. Sonia was sitting with her family and relatives on the terrace, planning to go back home the next morning and skip the remaining functions of the marriage. That day, none of the guests even ate properly.
But after some time, when Sonia was called downstairs, she felt a strange presence around her — as if someone’s eyes were on her.
After having her dinner, Sonia sat on a manja watching people dance and enjoy. Suddenly, she noticed that the strange presence was standing in a corner. When she turned to see who it was, she realised it was the same guy she had been hearing about since morning — perhaps even waiting for unknowingly. All her curiosity and suspense vanished when his mother came and sat beside her, introducing her son to Sonia.
His name was Sameer. He was preparing for the Indian Navy NDA exam.
That whole wedding felt like a “coincidence by chance.”
But were these coincidences really by chance, or was there a reason behind them?
✨ Stay tuned for Part 2 — where a new friendship is formed, tested by misunderstandings, shaken by betrayal, and wrapped in suspense…
